Cigarettes After Sex is an American ambient pop band from Brooklyn, New York, formed in 2008. The band consists of Greg Gonzalez (vocals, guitar), Phillip Tubbs (keyboards), Jake Tamburin (drums), and Randy Miller (bass).
The band’s music has been described as “dream pop” or “slowcore”, and draws influence from artists such as Cocteau Twins, Mazzy Star, and Red House Painters.
Cigarettes After Sex released their self-titled debut EP in 2012, followed by the albums I. (2015) and II. (2017). The band’s music has been used in numerous films and television shows, including Stranger Things, 13 Reasons Why, and The Handmaid’s Tale.
